What exactly is roof rejuvenation?
- It is a spray-on treatment made from plant oils. It soaks into dried-out asphalt shingles and gives them back some of the flexibility the sun has taken, which also helps them keep their protective granules.
Is there an age where a roof is too far gone?
- There is no fixed cut-off. What matters is how brittle the shingles are and how much granule cover is left. We have seen older roofs that were good candidates and younger ones that were not, so we decide on the roof itself.
My roof leaks. Will the treatment fix that?
- No. A leak means water is getting past the roof, and oil will not close that gap. The leak needs a repair first. Once the roof is sound again, treatment may still make sense.
Is it safe for my kids, dogs and garden?
- The product is plant-based, and we still take care: beds and shrubs are covered, pets stay indoors while we spray, and we rinse anything that catches overspray.
Will people be able to tell the roof was treated?
- Usually the shingles look a touch darker and richer for a while, then settle back to their normal color. There is no shine or coating effect.
How often does a roof need treating?
- It runs in cycles of years, not months. After the first treatment we check how the shingles are holding up and suggest when a second one would be worthwhile.
Does treatment help with selling a house or keeping insurance?
- A roof that has been looked after gives inspectors and underwriters less to flag, and we can tell you plainly what we found and did. The final decision always sits with the buyer or the insurer.
What weather do you need?
- A dry day and a few dry hours afterwards. In summer we usually work mornings, before the afternoon storms build, and we will move the date if rain looks likely.
